Bright "shocks" with ceremonial first pitch at Cardinals game
DALLAS, TX – If there’s one thing that I adore about Anna Bright, it’s that she isn't afraid to laugh at herself.
A force on the pickleball court, of course, her personality really shines off the court, too.
Earlier this week, Bright threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals game alongside the rest of her MLP team, the St. Louis Shock.
Truth be told, her toss wasn't exactly the stuff of a future Cy Young Award winner.
Since Bright doesn’t take herself too seriously, though, she was happy to share a clip on Instagram and requested that her followers rate her throw.
Fellow pro Jorja Johnson commented: “Girly, I’m gonna need you to start training for these events for pickleball’s sake.”
Honestly, the throw itself wasn’t that bad. We’ve all seen far worse over the years, right?
This isn't the first time that Bright has showcased her athletic versatility after accepting an invitation from a major sports club. While still a member of MLP's Orlando Squeeze last season, she shot some hoops at an Orlando Magic game.
Bright shares her falls and fails in pickleball, too, and it’s these moments of authenticity that make her so relatable.
Between her awkward 90s photoshoot with Rachel Rohrabacher and this highlight reel of some of her best-worst moments, it’s clear that Bright is a cool character.
